Facebook get 5800 article restriction requests from India

This kind of restriction made by social media giant Facebook is against freedom of speech. also freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of hate speech instead people must be allowed to have a healthy discussion by expressing their views within the human natural behavioral etiquette.

Even as Facebook restricted some of the articles which are illegal for particular country, still they are visible to community around the world.

Facebook must have global restrictions protocol which are applicable for most of the countries like porn, religious hatred, racism, etc. must be restricted.


Facebook, requests for account data increased to 35,051 in the second half of 2014 from 34,946 in the first half, with requests from countries such as India rising and those from others including United States and Germany.

Facebook restricts 9700 articles violating local laws, out of which 5800 requests were from India.

Facebook, Microsoft, Yahoo and Google last year began publishing details about the number of government requests for data they receive.
